They install the dish antenna and run the coax or connect coax to a connector(s) already there. They attach the coax to the new receiver(s). You have to purchase the whole directv package with a contract, etc. I would suggest waiting until you're ready to go HD, which costs more, because they have to install different dish and receivers for HD. I wouldn't get nfl sunday ticket without HD, but I did that last year and OD'd on football - it was pretty fun. Oh and it takes 2 to 3 hours depending on the number of receivers you get and if there is already coax in the room. Q. I'm going to watch Avatar tomorrow, except I'm not sure whether to buy the tickets for the Digital 3d showing, or the regular showing? Which one is better/more comfortable to watch? I saw the preview in 3d at IMAX and it was great looking, they had one part of the preview where its flying slowing the area and it seemed like you were right there flying looking out the window. But that was part of the IMAX 3D. As for comfortable, regular is more comfortable depending on your eyes, it may take a little bit to get used to watching something in 3D if you havent done it before, but it usually passed within a few mins.
